I am Mrs. Schroeder. I will be one of
your Kindergarten teachers this year. I am thrilled to be sharing
this job with the FABULOUS Mrs. Smith! We are teaming up this
year and want you to have a fun, learning-filled year!
I am married to my best friend, Roy. I am a Stepmom to two
beautiful children, Sonya age 18 and Sabrina age 13. Sonya is a
senior at Lourdes High School and Sabrina is an eighth-grader at St.
Francis of Assisi School. Both Sonya and Sabrina like sports. You
can often find me cheering on my daughter’s at their games. We
live in Mantorville. We love living in the country! We like seeing the
birds, deer, and turkeys in our backyard.
I grew up in Lake City, Minnesota. Did you know that Lake City
is the birthplace of waterskiing? My Mom and Dad have passed
away and I miss them dearly. My big brother, Patrick, and his wife
Lisa, and my niece Erin live in Dana Point, California. One of my
favorite things to do is to go to Disneyland with my niece. We
celebrated her 16th birthday there last year.
This is my 28th year of teaching. I have taught Second, Third,
and Fourth Grade. I have a feeling that Kindergarten will be my
favorite. I graduated from St. Mary’s University. I also played a little
college volleyball (another thing Mrs. Smith and I have in
common). I completed my Master’s degree from the University of
Minnesota. I like school, so I went back for my Reading Specialist
degree. I love teaching kids how to read.
