Basics 101: Essential Oils and Make “N” Take Class

We will be covering some of the basics of Essential Oils. What are they? Where do they come from? What do you use them for? How do you use them? Why are they so good for ones health and wellness? We will cover Young Living Essential’s Basic Oils. We will end the class with a Make “N” Take where you will make up a few of your own items using Essential oils to take home with you.

Rustic Pallet Sign Painting:  Gather, Believe or Noel

Create a unique and personalized piece of home decor! The wood slats are already hand assembled into a 7″ x 24″ pallet style sign, now you get to make it yours! Several options of stain colors and a colorful selection of paint will be available to make your custom work of art. We will provide all the materials and take you through the process step by step—no experience is needed!

The Nurtured Heart Approach

Children with High intensity temperaments are often seen as children who are challenging in school/child care. The “Nurtured Heart Approach”, based on the work of Howard Glaser, is a unique approach for working with children who have challenging behaviors. This course combines 4 effective strategies for helping caregivers transform the way they see children who have high energy/intensity from a challenge to a gift.

8 Hour Driver Safety Program

This course is for those who have not taken the safety course for 55+ to qualify for the insurance discount. This course will give you a chance to brush up on existing driving skills and pick up some new ideas about how to drive safely and defensively. Participants aged 55 and over will receive a 10% discount (required by state) on their insurance premiums, good for a 3-year period, at which time participants would need to take the 4-hour refresher course again to qualify for the discount. No testing is required. Class fee includes all materials. Participants must attend the full 8 hours to qualify for the insurance discount.

Driver Safety Program-

4 hour refresher course

This is a 4-hour single session class for those who have taken the 8-hour driving class and need to renew for the insurance discount. The class will cover today’s driving environment and how to compensate for our physical changes. We will review interacting with traffic, defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, and learn how to select a safer vehicle with current safety features.

Helping Children Manage Anger and Learn Self-Control

Examine the developmental stages a child goes through to learn self-control and explore the important lessons parents and early childhood educators can share along the way to support that process.  By gaining insight that the ways children deal with their mad feelings is a developmental issue rather than a moral issue, we can help the children learn how to deal with difficult feelings constructively.
