The 4-H Cooking Club is a chance for kids to get together virtually over Zoom! Youth will receive instructions prior to each meeting time and will be asked to help prepare their dish for dinner the evening of each meeting. During the meeting we will discuss what worked well, what techniques were used, and if you enjoyed making your dish. Youth will be able to share and plan future meals with their peers. The club will meet five (5) times. See dates below.

Get into the Christmas spirit by decorating Christmas inspired cookies (stars, bells, & trees)! Each child will receive 12 delicious, precooked cookies to take home, decorate, and enjoy. Cookies, frosting, and sprinkles will all be provided. Kits will be sent home with students on Friday, December 4th.

Northgate Driving School will be coming to Hayfield Community Schools for another drivers education session. Class will be Monday-Friday February 24th-March 6th from 3:30-6:30PM in the High School Media Center. This class consists of 30 hours of classroom time for $200 and 6 hours of behind the wheel time for $200 for a total price of $400. There is a $25 discount if paid in full at time of sign-up.
All driving hours will be done in Rochester and they drive 7 days a week.

The firearms safety class consists of a minimum of 12 hours of classroom learning on the safe handling of firearms, hunter responsibility and wildlife conservation. Students then complete additional field experience. The field experience consists of seven required scenario-based training opportunities. These scenarios allow students to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and handling of firearms. It includes shooting a .22 caliber rifle on a range. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a temporary certificate. This certificate will allow the bearer to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota and other states where certification is required.
