I grew up in Winona, Minnesota and spent my summers working on my uncle’s farm in Rushford. I participated in football, basketball, baseball, track, choir and band in high school. I attended Winona State University where I earned bachelor’s degrees in elementary education & physical education and a master’s degree in education. I completed my Education Leadership at Northern Arizona University, while living in Phoenix.
I have been in education for more than 20 years. I have taught in the elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels. I have been a principal in Hayfield Community Schools since 2012.
I am married to Rachael and we have two children. One daughter is a social worker in an elementary school and the other daughter is a theatre director. Our family enjoys traveling when we get the opportunity.
I am blessed to be the assistant principal in a community that cares deeply about one another.
