Hello 3rd Grade Parents,
This will be my first full year teaching at Hayfield Community Schools. Last year I was a long term substitute for Mrs. Gunderson in first grade. On top of teaching I will also be helping coach baseball this spring as well as helping with After School Academy.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in January of 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education as well as a minor in coaching. Prior to attending college I grew up on a farm outside of Byron and attended Byron for my schooling K-12. We have a crop farm that consists of corn, soybeans, and hay and we raise Black Angus cattle as well. My dad works on our farm year round while my mom owns a hair salon in Byron. I have one younger sister (Karley) who just received her cosmetology license and she is now working at my mom’s salon.
When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love playing sports, especially baseball, and bow hunting is the greatest passion of mine. The majority of my free time is either spent in the woods or on a baseball field.
I am very excited to start my time at Hayfield and to work with you and your child. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
