Let me take a minute to introduce myself, the counseling office, and the resources available to you through Hayfield Community Schools.
I have been given the opportunity to work at Hayfield Community Schools, I have two wonderful children graduate from Hayfield High School, I am married to Kevin Connelly a business owner in the Byron community, and currently enjoy each and every day at HHS.
As a School Counselor, I have the opportunity to help guide students develop an understanding of themselves and the world around them by focusing upon their academic, career, personal, and social strengths in order to become successful members of our society.
Students take courses at HHS for a variety of reasons and have the opportunity to fill an eight period schedule that rotates on a six hour day. HHS students take classes for four very important reasons: 1) to graduate from HHS, 2) to prepare for post secondary educational opportunities, 3) to acquire an employment skill sets, and 4) to have hobbies and interests outside of school/work.
