This is my 31st year of teaching….whew….and I LOVE what I do! I am originally from Hayfield, graduated from here, then attended the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis where I graduated in 1989. Following graduation, I moved to Koyuk, Alaska, where I taught Kindergarten for two years. In 1991 I moved to Alexandria, MN, and taught fifth grade there for three years. Since 1994 I have taught in the Hayfield Community Schools district. Here I have taught grades K-4. This is my 23rd year teaching Kindergarten in Hayfield…..lucky me!
My interests include biking, hiking, riding horse, playing piano, camping and spending time with friends and my family!
Speaking of family, I am one of five. My husband farms, and we have three children: one a college graduate and now military-bound, one in college and one in high school. Our lives are simple – we enjoy our time together.
I am excited to work with terrific people this year (Mrs. Fish & Mrs. Smith) and I am looking forward to getting to know all the children in our classroom!
