This is my 12th year of teaching and all of those years have been spent in 2nd grade at Hayfield Community Schools. I also coach varsity baseball and varsity girls basketball at the high school level.
I graduated from Hayfield High School in 2007 and went on to Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa where I received my degree in Elementary Education with a reading and coaching endorsement, along with a math concentration. While at Waldorf I was also on the Waldorf Warrior baseball team and ran the intramural program during my junior year.
I am the oldest of three children and have lived in Hayfield, MN my entire life. My dad worked at Zumbro River Brand in Albert Lea, but has recently retired; my mom was an educator of 34 years that has since retired; my sister(Jordyn) is a nurse at the Mankato Clinic; and my brother(Tyler) is a physical education teacher in Homer, Alaska.
I like to keep myself busy by playing and being a part of many activities that usually involve sports. Whether it is coaching or playing, I just like being around the sports scene and all the things that go along with it. I can often be found at all the different Hayfield sporting events as the blue and gold runs deep in my veins. Go Hayfield Vikings!!
P.S. – I am a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan!! 🙂
