Mrs. Anderson is originally from Eagan, MN, the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. She attended Luther College in Decorah, IA, and graduated in 2010. She began her teaching career in Waterloo, IA, teaching high school choir and band at Columbus Catholic High School. While there, she directed 8 different music ensembles, including, Concert Band, Concert Choir, 2 show choirs, Jazz Band, Pit Orchestra, helped with vocal music preparation for the musicals, and co-directed the annual musical. In 2012, Mrs. Anderson got married and moved to North Liberty, IA with her husband. She spent 5 years teaching general music, and founding and establishing a 4-6th grade band program at Willowwind School in Iowa City. In 2017, the Andersons moved to Rochester, MN. Mrs. Anderson taught middle school and high school band in the Rochester and Kasson-Mantorville Public Schools before coming to Hayfield in 2019. In her spare time, Mrs. Anderson loves spending time with family and friends, reading, walking her dog, cuddling with her cat, crafting, scrapbooking and traveling.
