This is my 33rd year of teaching….whew….and I LOVE what I do! I am originally from Hayfield, graduated from here, then attended the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis where I graduated in 1989. Following graduation, I moved to Koyuk, Alaska, where I taught Pre-K/Kindergarten for two years. In 1991 I moved to Alexandria, MN, and taught fifth grade there for three years. Since 1994 I have taught in the Hayfield Community Schools district. Here I have taught grades K-4 . . . now I’m moving on to Preschool and I am excited about the change!
My interests include biking, hiking, reading, playing piano, camping, riding horse and spending time with friends and my family!
Speaking of family, I am one of five. My husband farms, and we have three children: our oldest is in the Navy, our middle child lives in Hayfield and works at a local bank, and our youngest just began college in Wisconsin.
Our lives are simple – we enjoy our time together.
I am excited to work with Ms. Paulson this year and I am looking forward to getting to know all the children in our classroom!
